In a ruined city far from their homes, King Henry’s Army waits. Depleted by sickness, siege, and attack they huddle under the night sky waiting for the dawn….and the vast might of the French foe.
From out of the darkness, a cloaked and hooded Henry appears amongst his men to question out their souls and breathe hope through the English camp. As the sun-rises over the fields of war and with a cry of “God for Harry! England and Saint George!”, the English army marches towards its fate.
From the critically acclaimed Theatre Delicatessen, this immersive production of Shakespeare’s Henry V will plunge its audience into the heart of the battlefield, and take them by the hand into the barracks where the English soldiers are still waiting and still questioning this war…..
